Custom Lover's Eye
In the eighteenth century, a king fell in love with a commoner. Due to the societal rules of the time, he was forbidden from loving her publicly. To prove his devotion, he commissioned his eye to be painted on a piece of ivory so she could wear it close to her heart. She returned this gesture and they were secretly married. This was the beginning of Lover's Eye keepsakes.
Please send your Lover's Eye pictures to [email protected]. These pictures must be clear, well-lit (overcast days are the best for taking well-lit pictures, but sunlight can also make the irises really sing!), and close-up. Send up to five pictures; the more I have to use, the better.
Your Lover's Eye will be framed inside a Victorian frame brooch. These are all vintage pieces and may have some imperfections. There is romance in imperfection; you are giving them a new life! All brooches are around 1.25" in diameter. I will provide you with pictures of the available options through our email exchange.
